Sports Achievements

Football 2017

St Agnes' year 5 and 6 football team played at Whitefield School this week.

Some feedback we received about the event:

"The boys played three matches and the results were as follows:

St Agnes beat Anson C 4-0

St Agnes beat Anson B 3-0

St Agnes beat Anson A 3-2

St Agnes beat Child's Hill 2-1

Some fantastic results!  More importantly in my opinion, all boys were engaged and had equal match time.  We were able to rotate to make sure that all 12 which attended played a big part.

The attitude from the boys was superb.  They showed great sportsmanship and represented the school really well."

In addition to our MUGA, we have made a substantial investment in a brilliant table tennis table for the junior playground. Mr McMahon and Jershon worked together to erect it for a whole afternoon, enabling it to be used by the junior children from Monday. There is a timetable of use, which includes a day devoted to children who are “Stars of the Week”. I have seen the children enjoying using it during the week.

Football 2015

So the football season has begun, and the boys played their first league matches of the season. Joey had an outstanding performance between the sticks pulling off a number of acro-batic saves. Our outfield players also produced the goods with fantastic team displays, which helped us to an 8-1 win in our first game, 5-1 win in our second game and an unfortunate 2-4 defeat in our last game. Congratulations also to our outfield players Callum, Alex, William, Kyle, Mikolay, Alan and Matthew who between them netted 15 goals, showed great team spirit and represented the school magnificently.
