St Faustina

St Faustina was born on the 25th August 1905 and was Polish nun. Throughout her life, she had visions of Jesus and had conversations with him. She wrote about this in her diary and it was later published as a book, “The Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska: Divine Mercy in My Soul”. When she was 20 she joined a convent in Warsaw. In 1936, she became ill and wrote in her diary that she had a vision that the feast of the Divine Mercy would be celebrated in her local chapel. As her health deteriorated, her visions intensified. St Faustina died at the age of 33 on the 5th October 1938 and now rests at the Basilica of Divine Mercy in Kraków, Poland.
